Set up and edit - Competitions (New Seasons, Tournaments, etc) – SportNinja

Overview: "Competitions" is a flexible umbrella category within SportNinja, used to refer to a specific grouping of teams and games (eg. a league/season, a pre-season, playoffs, tournament, etc).

Every Organization has unique structures and needs, and SportNinja has been designed to be configurable to meet the demands of those custom requirements.

Important Note: Before setting up a Competition, ensure you doing so under the desired Org and/or Sub-Org structure. It is possible to add a Competition either to an Org, or a Sub-Org. But it's important that you add your Competition to the right level of the hierarchy structure - for consistency and to ensure access rights and features are preserved for those who need to Support it.

Steps:

1. From the appropriate Org (or Sub-Org), hit the "Create Comp" button in the top right.

Alternate Option: You can Clone an existing Competition. This is the most efficient way to replicate an existing structure (eg. when moving from one Season or Year to the next).

To Clone a Competition:

Navigate to the Competition you would like to copy over and hit the "Clone Comp" button.

With this method, you will not need to re-add Teams, Rosters or Locations.

2) Complete the required fields and hit Submit.

Note: Consider using the "Private <-> Public" toggle to hide this Competition while you are still editing and configuring it. This will prevent it from being visible to users, or show up in search results.
